Photo: X/MICapeTown South African fast bowler Lizaad Williams has been ruled out of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to an injury, and Mumbai Indians have signed another Proteas pacer Corbin Bosch as his replacement.(More Cricket News)
Although yet to play a T20I for South Africa, Bosch has represented the Proteas in one Test and two ODIs. The 30-year-old , pace-bowling all-rounder made his international debut in December 2024 and was also included in the Proteas’ 15-member squad for the Champions Trophy as a replacement for the injured Anrich Nortje.
Even though Bosch has not played an IPL game, he had joined Rajasthan Royals as a net bowler and then as a replacement player during the 2022 edition.

A right-arm fast bowler and right-handed lower order batter, Bosch has played 86 T20s and taken 59 wickets. His highest T20 score is of 81. He was a part of the victorious Proteas' U-19 side that lifted the World Cup in 2014 and was also the Player of the Match in the finals producing a magnificent spell of 4/15.
Led by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, MI will begin its IPL 2025 campaign on Sunday, March 23 against Chennai Super Kings in a battle of the most successful teams in the competition.
