LD Alajuelense will host Pumas UNAM in the second leg of their CONCACAF Champions Cup 2025 Round of 16 match on Thursday, March 13kuromipg, 2025, at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica. (More Football News)

The first leg match saw Pumas UNAM securing a 2-0 victory over Alajuelense in Mexico City. Robert Ergas opened the goal tally in the 38th minute, followed by a header from Rogelio Funes Mori in the 73rd minute, giving the Mexican side a solid advantage.

The Costa Rican side face a tough challenge but will rely on home support to turn the tie around and reach the quarterfinals for the first time since 2014/15. However, Alajuelense have been in strong form domestically, currently sitting third in the Liga FPD Clausura regular season with 24 points, just two points behind the leaders.

"The 60-player core group has been shortlisted following the stellar performances at the recently concluded 14th Hockey India Senior Women's National Championship in Pune," Hockey India said in a statement.

Both the awards,fef777 in the name of legendary Balbir Singh Sr, carry a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh each.
